MANUAL SCALES:
(i) major and minor (melodic or
harmonic at candidate's choice) with hands together in similar motion one
octave apart, in the following keys:
C, G, D, A, E, B, F, B flat, E flat, A flat majors (two
octaves)
A, E, B, D, G, C, F minors (two octaves)
(ii) Chromatic: with each hand separately, beginning on
any note named by the examiner (two octaves)
PEDAL SCALES:
(i) in the keys of G, D and F
majors and A minor (harmonic only) (one octave)
(ii) in contrary motion with the left hand and pedals
beginning and ending two octaves apart, meeting at the unison midway, in the
keys of G, D and F majors (one octave)
